First up is HUMDRUM a VI for Kontakt 5.3 or up.

The HUMDRUM features character calfskin drums lovingly recorded to capture their unique, colourful personalities.

• 2 double-skinned Marching Bass Drums
  Performances: hits, flams, ruffs, rolls, rimshots, thrums and squirls.
   

• 2 Snare Drums
  Performances: all with mallets AND sticks: hits, flams, ruffs, stick across, rimshots and rolls
   

• Toms – Large and Medium
  Performances: all with mallet AND sticks: hits, flams, ruffs, rimshots and rolls
   

• Toms - Various Small
  Performances: with sticks: hits and rolls

The calfskin drums were close mic’d in the excellent sounding MODWHEEL HQ foyer with room mics in the stairwell.

 

Control of the room mics is accessed via the mod wheel.

Both the close and room mics have reverbs that can be controlled separately.

 

The tempo of the flams and ruffs can be adjusted via a speed knob.

 

The sound of the drums can range easily from quiet, close and intimate to loud, epic and ultimate.
